This book is the first in the Character Alive series. These stories have a physical illustration that can be performed while reading the story. For this particular story you will need two items: • A few straws with paper covers (as you would get at any fast-food restaurant) • A cup of water. Instructions are in the book and make a fun, interactive way to tell a story which will make it fun to read and to hear every time. Wormy is an adventurous worm who discovers by accident, that he has an interesting and unique ability that saves his life. In the second story, Wormy goes out to "see the world" and his special ability actually causes him trouble.

Under the sun, under a shady tree, under the grass, in small hole underground; lived a little worm named Wormy with his mother. Wormy was adventurous for a worm and he always wanted to explore or see new things. One day, while his mother was cleaning their worm hole, he asked if he could go outside. “Mawwwmmm......why can’t I go outside in the daytime?” “Because it is not safe” His mother replied. “Well, I don’t care,”, said Wormy, “I’m bored in here!” “Go to sleep and we will go out tonight.” “Awww mawwmmm!” Wormy decided to go out anyway. When his mom was making mud pies in the kitchen, he slithered to the hole entrance and started making his way up to the outside. He reached the top and poked his nose out.

The author lives in Palm Springs with his wife where he creates games and tells stories for his twin boys to enjoy.
