The story takes place in San Francisco, California with a young African American young lady, the age of eighteen attending college and living a well loved filled life, her name Donna. She possessed a certain intellect for someone of this age she found it difficult at times to relate to those in her own age group. Donna loved reading, writing, poetry and enjoying the company of her friends and family. Although, she soon found that the ones she considered friends were not around when things went badly. As for her family Donna lived with her Mother but, has a Brother and a Sister however, at this time she was very close to her Grandmother and Aunt just because they were easy to talk to and wouldn’t hold her faults against her. So, as you see her and her Mother were close but not like best friends. Donna later realized that her Mother was her unconditional friend not wanting anything in return other than love.

I am on the verge of tears as I have just read your story. We never know where life will take us, but your story is more than evident that in ALL things God has a purpose and a plan for us all. I love you!! I look at you now and would never be able to tell that you have gone through anything. I pray that this story will bless those that have gone through, are going through, or may go through similar situations. I am truly inspired!! Thank you for sharing your story with the world.

As a first-time writer, this is a gallant foray into deep water. Adona's story is a testimony to endurance and faith in the face of an onslaught of adversity. It should inspire young and old alike who face such odds to BELIEVE in the power of faith. As the author becomes more familiar more seasoned, I am sure that her later work will be even more compelling because she has mastered the art of making you care about her lead character. I see great things in her future!
