Seminoles in the Everglades hunt gators not only for food but also to support the village in a financial endeavor. A boy carries a secret that he doesn't want anyone else to know. In his heart he knows that he caused the death of his father; the chief of the village. Tired of not being able to even bring a small gator to his mother's stew pot; he sets off on a conquest to capture the massive gator that killed his father. A unique twist to the typical hunt and capture will enhance the reader and make them feel like they were there to share in the events that unfold.
