“The Resurrection of Timothy Book I: The Resurrection” is a work of fiction encompassing the genres of mystery, suspense, romance & a bit of the paranormal. Jeanne, the main character, is a writer who lives in the beautiful wilderness area of the Adirondack Mountains. in upstate New York. As she prepares to leave her summer cottage to recluse to her cabin for the winter months, strange events begin taking place. At first they appear to be somehow connected to the love of her life, who died in her arms 7 years earlier. Then unrelated events occur…ensuring that the peaceful, reclusive months of writing she so looks forward to will be anything BUT this winter!
CHAPTER ONE “I came early this morning to your porch while the sky was still dark and the only sound was that of the night crickets and the odd passing car. Your house was in slumber and I felt it wrong to wake you.” The note was unsigned, but for Jeanne no signature was required. There was no mistaking either the hand that penned the words or the manner of their usage. Elation and fear combined to give an odd sensation of strangulation around Jeanne’s heart region. The sensation spread, simultaneously coursing down to her solar plexus, up to her Crown chakra and eventually consuming the entirety of her beingness. Heart, mind and Soul screamed out in unity from within her… “This cannot be; my Timmy is dead.” She barely recognized the voice as her own when she sobbed the words again, this time out loud. Time stood immeasurably still as Jeanne held her own head in her hands, alternately shivering and shaking, tears unabashedly staining the note. It was midday on a muggy Sunday afternoon in August, with temperatures in the area exceeding 88 degrees--humidity at one hundred percent--yet Jeanne sat frozen in a time not of the present day. For her it was a cold day in December, seven years prior.
Roxanne is a 63 yr. young woman who resides in the glorious Adirondack Mountain region of upstate New York. She is the biological mother of one beautiful daughter, Corinna, & “MommaRoxy” to dozens of others both locally & around the globe in countries like England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Pakistan, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Canada & Newfoundland. Retired/disabled as a daytime Paralegal, & nighttime bartender she now devotes whatever time she is not spending with family, friends & her cat, Goofy, to one of the major loves of her life….writing!
